Sheena Sudra is Keypath Education Asia-Pacific's Executive Director of Marketing & Customer Experience.
At Keypath, Sheena is responsible for overseeing the Marketing and CX functions across the Asia Pacific region - driving strategy and performance, leading and managing the team and furthering a culture of growth and innovation working closely with university partners.
What do you bring to Keypath Education Asia-Pacific as Executive Director of Marketing & Customer Experience?
The short answer is a love of learning, a passion for customer experience and a desire to help others grow.
I have over 20 years of experience in senior marketing leadership roles across multiple sectors and countries, including the UK, UAE and Australia. Most recently, I was the Head of Marketing & CX for Everyday Banking at National Australia Bank, driving growth for consumer banking products, launching new digital solutions to the market, and creating multiple award-winning campaigns.
I have a deep passion for unearthing customer insights and using these to bring teams together to reimagine new solutions to better meet ever-changing customer needs.
I'm deeply motivated by working in a positive team culture and creating a diverse and inclusive workplace for the team to learn and grow together and have a fulfilling career experience.
As the world recovers from the global pandemic and digital transformation is at the forefront of education, I believe there has never been a better time to make a big impact on helping adult learners access education to reach their full career potential.
How do you measure your success?
For a customer-led organisation like Keypath, I see three key metrics as important: student and partner satisfaction, employee engagement and ROI. None of which are mutually exclusive of each other.
Put simply, the more we can help students achieve their goals, the more we can support our university partners, and the more Keypath is successful as a business with engaged employees and bottom-line performance. It's a win-win opportunity all-round through delivering shared value to students.
What’s the best lesson you’ve learned in business?
Culture eats strategy for breakfast. Creating a highly engaged team where everyone has an opportunity to shape, influence and drive the plan will drive exceptional outcomes and help our people unlock their full potential.
What excites you about higher education?
I'm excited by higher education as this industry is all about helping adults fulfil their dreams.
At an industry level, there is an exciting market dynamic at play: there are critical global skills shortages that need to be addressed; the online higher education industry is growing significantly, and student needs are evolving with increased demand for access to quality online degrees to help them realise their potential faster.
All of this presents an extraordinary opportunity to address global imbalances in skills and reimagine the entire student experience from student research to graduation, the ultimate moment of truth.
This excites me as Keypath is a market leader in EdTech and is well-positioned to provide an exceptional student experience through digitally-led education solutions.
